CONCERTI U2 A TORINO E ROMA

C'è grande attesa per i prossimi due concerti degli U2 in Italia. La band irlandese sarà nel nostro Paese con il 360° Tour allo Stadio Olimpico di Torino (6 Agosto) e allo Stadio Olimpico di Roma (8 Ottobre). I biglietti sono finiti da diversi mesi, ma è ancora possibile acqusitarli sui circuiti di secondary ticketing. Due occasioni imperdibili per assistere dal vivo ai concerti degli U2.

PER IL MOMENTO CONFERMATO IL CONCERTO DI TORINO

L'entourage degli U2 ha confermato che il tour europeo si svolgerà con regolarità e che sono state rinviate soltanto 16 date del tour nordamericano a causa dei problemi di salute di Bono. Lo stesso The Edge ha confermato che la band sarà in concerto in Europa secondo le date già fissate.

Un rapido aggiornamento sulla vendita dei biglietti dei concerti degli U2. Sulle piattaforme di scambio tra fans, i biglietti per il concerto del 6 agosto 2010 allo Stadio Olimpico vengono scambiati a partire da 60 euro. I biglietti per il concerto dell'8 ottobre 2010 allo Stadio Olimpico di Roma a aprtire da 50 euro.

NESSUN PREMIO PER GLI U2 AI METEOR AWARDS

A dispetto delle tre nomination ricevute da qwuelli che vengono spesso chiamati i Grammy irlandesi, gli U2 non hanno ricevuto alcun premio ai Meteor Awards di quest'anno. un tentativo da parte dell'organizzazione del premio, di smarcarsi dall'ombra imponente della band irlandese più amata della storia.

I PRIMI ANTICIPI DI "U2 BY U2"

Iniziano ad essere pubblicati sul sito ufficiale della band i primi estratti dell'autobiografia degli U2. E' la prima volta che i membri della band raccontano in prima persona i ricordi dell'infanzia, i primi passi del gruppo, e poi tutta la carriera finoa riempire gli stadi di ogni città del mondo.

U2, UN TOUR ECOLOGICO

Il 360° Tour degli U2 non resterà alla storia soltanto per The Claw, il megapalco rotante, o per il record di incassi. Ma anche eprchè è il primo tour a basso impatto ecologico. Gli U2 hanno costretto Live Nation ad adottare una serie di misure e procedure per ridurre al minimo l'emissione di carbonio e l'inquinamento connessi ai grandi eventi.

KILLING BONO E' QUASI PRONTO

Dovrebbero finire questa settimana le riprese di Killing Bono, il film girato a Dublino sulla storia narrata in "Killing Bono: I was doppelganger Bono" di Neil McCormick. La trama, ne abbiamo più volte parlato, è tutta incentrata sulle disavventure di un coetano di Bono che vede diventare famosi gli U2 mentre la sua band non sfonda. Il film, che dovrebbe uiscire entro l'anno, è stato prodotto con un budget molto limitato.

OPENERS CONCERTI U2, VIDEO

Dato che Lenny Kravitz è molto conosciuto, e visto che abbiamo già mandato in onda un video de The Fray, inizieremo oggi a conoscere meglio gli Interpol. La band, che farà da supporto agli ultimi concerti USA degli U2, è molto conosciuta da chi ha vissuto gli anni '80, ma i più giovani potrebbero non conoscerla. Eccovi un video:

SALMAN RUSHDIE RICORDA IL SUO "CONCERTO" CON GLI U2

In un'intervista al Sunday Times lo scrittore Salman Rushdie ha ricordato quando, nel 2001, gli U2 lo vollero sul palco del concerto di Wembley per solidarietà contro la fatwa ricevuta dagli integralisti.

"Quando arrivò lo Zooropa tour al Wembley Stadium di Londra, dove mi ero rifugiato, Bono m chiamò e mi chiese se volevo salire sul palco. Gli U2 volevano fare un gesto di solidarietà per me, e credo sia stato quello più importante che io abbia ricevuto in quel periodo. Quando dissi a mio figlio quattordicenne che sarei stato sul palco lui mi disse: papà tutto ma ti prego no cantare, se ti metti a cantare dovrò suicidarmi subito. Alla fine non cantai, ma salii sul palco e capii finalmente cosa signifca stare davanti a 80 mial fans in delirio epr te".

E' stato appena annunciato un altro concerto degli U2 negli States. Si tratta della data del 3 giugno 2010 al Rice Eccles Stadium di Salt Lake City. I biglietti per questo concerto sono già in vendita.

David O'Reilly, regista del pluripremiato videoclip degli U2 "Crazy", stava tornando in volo dalla Germania a Los Angeles quando sui monitor dell'aereo è stato proiettato proprio il suo video. Divertito dalla cosa, David ha scattato questa foto, e l'ha inviata agli amici del sito ufficiale degli U2.

U2, MIGLIOR PRODUZIONE DI CONCERTI DELL'ANNO

The Claw, l'imponente struttura a 360° utilizzata dagli U2 per i concerti negli stadi del 2009 e del 2010, unita a un album superbo, alla forma smagliante mostrata dal vivo dagli U2 e alle centinaia di migliaia di fans che in tutto in mondo hanno voluto seguire un concerto della band. Tutto questo insieme è stato premiato ai Total Production Awards, che ogni anno eleggono i migliori eventi internazionali dal punto di vista del design e delal tecnologia. Il premio più prestigioso, ossia il LIVE PRODUCTION OF THE YEAR, è andato ovviamente agli U2. E nel corso del 2010 se ne vedranno ancora delle belle.

GLI STROKES SCELGONO IL PRODUTTORE DEGLI U2

Per il loro nuovo album gli Strokes hanno scelto di affidarsi al produttore Jeo Ciccarelli. Ciccarelli deve la sua fama soprattutto alle sue collaborazioni con gli U2. E' infatti grazie ad esse che il suo nome è diventato tra i più prestigiosi in ambito musicale.

ATTACCO ALLE INIZIATIVE DI BENEFICENZA DI BONO

Dalla stampa austrialiana rimbalza una dichiarazione di Brian Johnson, il leader degli Ac/Dc, che lascia sconcertati. usando parole anche molto pesanti, Johnson ha tacciato Bono Vox di ipocrisia, spiegando che non si possono chiedere soldi ai fans per beneficenza, e che i soldi li devono donare le star milionare. Johnson però trascura il fatto che Bono Vox dona personalmente tempo e soldi alle sue cause, e che se va a cantare ad un concerto il cui incasso va ad Haiti è come se avesse donato personalmente i soldi del biglietto.

Si tratta del 12 settembre 2010 a l Letzigrund Stadium di Zurigo. I biglietti per questo nuovo concerto degli U2 andranno in vendita a partire dal 5 febbraio.

BONO VOX E THE EDGE PER HAITI

Bono Vox e the Edge hanno aderito alla campagna mondiale per la raccolta di fondi da destinare alle popolazioni di Haiti. L'iniziativa, promossa da George Clooney, prevede una serie di eventi a cui parteciperanno le più grandi star del pianeta. CONCERTO U2 A ZURIGO

Gli U2 hanno agigunto un nuovo concerto in Europa alla leg 2010 del loro 360° Tour. La data è ghiotta anche per i fans italiani del nord Italia. Gli U2 suoneranno infatti al Letzigrund Stadium di Zurigo l'11 settemnre 2010. I biglietti per la data elvetica andranno in vendita a partire dal 28 gennaio 2010.

Ulteriore balzo in avanti per No Line On The Horizon nella classifica degli album più venduti in Italia. L'ultimo lavoro in studio degli U2 passa questa settimana dalla posizione numero 99 alla numero 82. E' quanto emerge dai dati raccolti da Nielsen per la federazione Industria Musicale Italiana presso i negozi di dischi e la grande distribuzione.

LA BBC FA AUTOCRITICA SUGLI U2

"Abbiamo esagerato nella promozione di no Line On The Horizon"". E' questo il senso dell'autocritica a cui l'emittente di stato inglese è stata costretta dopo le interrogazioni parlamentari di un deputato conservatore. La BBC aveva lanciato, via tv e via radio, il nuovo disco degli U2 a tutto spiano. Guadagnandoci però un concerto sul tetto del proprio grattacielo. Non a sufficienza però. "Dobbiamo stare attenti a non favorire attività commerciali esterne", si legge oggi in una nota.

UN NUOVO ROMANZO ROCK DALL'AUTORE DI "U2 AT THE END OF THE WORLD"

E' stato appena pubblicato "Evening's Empire", il nuovo romanzo di Bill Flanagan, noto ai fans degli U2 per essere l'autore di "U2 At the End of the World", il libro sulla band più importante del rock contemporaneo, scritto dopo che Flanagan aveva seguito Bono Vox e compagni durante lo Zoo Tv Tour.Evening's Empire narar la storia di un manager musicale che con la sua band attraversa tre decenni (anni 60, 70 e 80).

Bono Vox ha così descritto il romanzo: "Evening's Empire è una storia alternatica sulla generazione degli anni '60, che risulta persino più vera di ciò che realmente accadde. E' il testamento divertente e triste di quei ragazzi persi che non sarebbero più cresciuti".

LA FEDE DI BONO SULL'OSSERVATORE ROMANO

Si discute nel web di un articolo apparso sull'Osservatore Romano del 4-5 gennaio a firma Gaetano Vallini. Il pezzo, dal titolo "Re Davide? Una pop star" inizia con le parole di Bono Vox:

"A dodici anni adoravo Davide: per me era come una pop star, le parole dei salmi erano poesia e lui era un divo. C'è da dire che, prima di diventare profeta e re di Israele, Davide aveva dovuto subirne parecchie: era andato in esilio e poi finì in una caverna dove fece i conti con se stesso e con Dio. Ed è proprio lì che la soap opera si fa interessante: Davide compone il suo primo blues". Detta così - nota l'opinionista del giornale del vaticano- ha tutta l'aria di un'affermazione irriverente. E invece questa dichiarazione fatta da Bono, il leader degli U2, una delle rock band più importanti degli ultimi trent'anni, può essere letta come una originalissima dichiarazione di fede.

THE EDGE: DETESTO LE JAM SESSION

In un'intervista a Neil McCormick del Daily Telegraph The Edge si è detto assolutamente contrario a fare jam sessins con altri chitarristi. "Ho provato e mai più. Fare jam sessions è la cosa più scocciante e terribile per me. Non mi ci diverto proprio. Prima di tutto, non ha niente a che fare con il modo in cui lavoro come musicista. U2, RECORD DI BIGLIETTI VENDUTI ANCHE NEGLI USA

Dopo l'Europa anche gli USA. Secondo la rivista Pollstar, anche nel nuovo continente il tour più venduto del 2009 è stato quello degli U2. Bono Vox e compagni hanno venduto biglietti per i loro concerti negli States per un valore di 123 milioni di dollari, mettendosi alle spalle big del calibro di Bruce Springsteen, che con la sua E Street Band ha raccolto 94,5 milioni di dollari.

BONO VOX ARTISTA DI STRADA A NATALE

Bono Vox è sceso per strada a Dublino la sera di Natale e, in mezzo a un centinaio di giovani increduli, si è unito agli artisti di strada che stavano suonando in Grafton Street. Bono si è fermato per tre pezzi: “Knockin´ On Heaven´s Door” di Bob Dylan, ‘Stand By Me’ di Ben E.King e “Heyday” di Mic Christopher. Su Youtube ho trovato il video del primo brano.

Ciao a tutti, niente notizie oggi. Entro solo per augurarvi un felicissimo 2010. Spero per voi che il nuovo anno sia l'anno dellle soddisfazioni e della serenità.
